Abu Dhabi, U.A.E. – Nakilat-Keppel Offshore & Marine (N-KOM), a joint-venture between Nakilat and Keppel Offshore & Marine (KOM), promoted its new customized liftboat design, LB310, in November at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference (ADIPEC).
Designed in collaboration with Bennett Offshore, N-KOM’s first liftboat, which is currently under construction at the shipyard in Qatar, is classed by ABS and is customized for operations in MENA and Indian waters. The self-propelled and self-elevating liftboat is a more efficient alternative to traditional offshore service vessels as it can support well servicing, commissioning, maintenance and decommissioning of offshore platforms and be mobilized without requiring third-party assistance.
The customized liftboat has an operating depth of up to 65 meters and is equipped with two deck cranes, a large open deck space of around 800 square meters, a helideck and accommodation capacity for 130 persons.
At ADIPEC, N-KOM increased awareness of its new LB310 liftboat among international oil and gas players and showcase its proven capabilities in servicing jack-up rigs, pressure vessels and land rigs.
